Suburban East rival East Ridge, led by junior Emily Betz (13th in the 2012 2A state meet), was ranked No. 5.
Wayzata is ranked No. 1 in both Class 2A polls.

Forest Lake tennis player Toby Boyer, who lost in the Class 2A state tennis singles final in June, moved up three spots to No. 12 in the USTA’s Northern Region (Minnesota, Western Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota) Boys’ 18-Under rankings. He recently paired with Isaiah Mayerchuk of Princeton to win the Babolat Doubles Shootout at the Golden Valley Tennis Center.
