Cloquet-Esko-Carlton vs. Princeton

1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 25

Princeton’s Cooper Nowak leads the state with 16 goals, averaging two per game for the Tigers (4-3-1, 2-0-0). He’s had three games with three or more goals, including a four-goal outburst in a 5-5 tie with Grand Rapids on Aug. 28.

Princeton, in a race with Monticello for the Mississippi 8 Conference title, has won two straight and three of its last four.

Jordan Aultman is among the top scorers for Cloquet-Esko-Carlton, which made its only state tournament appearance in 2011. The Lumberjacks had their five-game unbeaten streak snapped last week with one-goal losses to Duluth East and Grand Rapids.
